What We Will Do

Meeting Point

We will begin the tour meeting outside Arora Organic Store on Badrinath road in Tapovan at 9am sharp (near Kriya Yoga Ashram).

Main Highlights

We will visit Rishikesh's famous award-winning Beatles Cafe for optional refreshments or breakfast. It. commands a breathtaking panoramic view overlooking the Ganga river.

After breakfast we will visit Rishikesh's oldest Laxman temple (dedicated to the Hindu god Laxman). We will then pass-by some local authentic Indian eateries walking to Laxman Jhula bridge.

Crossing over the bridge, we will ascend Rishikesh's highest temple which offers a beautiful vantage point from which to see Rishikesh town and the Ganga river.

We will then explore the laidback lanes between Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula visiting many famous cafes, eateries, and Ashrams along our way.

Walking along a scenic promenade by the Ganga we will descend to Rishikesh's biggest river beach. Here we shall pay homage to the magic beauty and majesty of Ma Ganga by learning and reciting a traditional Sanskrit mantra.

We shall then pass by Ram Jhula and walk through antiquated streets enjoying the local street food and India's addiction: Chai.

In Ram Jhula we will visit the Hare Krishna temple where you will be welcomed and encouraged to join in the Kirtan / Bhajan led by traditional Hindu priests.

Once your vibrations have been raised by singing and rejoicing we shall visit Rishikesh's most famous ashram: Parmarth Niketan. We will also have an optional lunch in the Ashram's cafeteria.

Optional Extension of the Tour

The rest of the tour is optional for those who would like to continue.

After visiting  Rishikesh's best landscaped Ashram: Van Prasth, we continue our journey towards the Ashram that put Rishikesh on the world map: the Beatles Ashram and where the Beatles conceived of their White Album and learned transcendental meditation with their Guru Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

A quiet adventure into the Raja Ji Tiger Reserve will bring us to the magical forest which envelopes Rishikesh. Here we will walk to a lesser-known cave which once housed the famous Silent Baba. We shall end this part of the tour by walking back to and crossing the Ram Jhula bridge and enjoying a dinner at the famous Madras cafe.
